The weather is unpredictable! Sunday I painted my front porch -- there was no rain in the forecast. Five hours after I finished painting the edges, bases, etc., an unexpected rain storm provided 1/2" of rain! The next day, I saw a little bit of bubbling in 1 corner that should be easy to take care of.
On the 2nd day when I was to finish the paint, I knew there were thunderstorms predicted so I started early. And I figured it would be a typical storm. Instead the storm was like a washing machine outside, and it dumped 1.5". Luckily the porch had had 7+ hours of drying time by then, and I don't see any issues so far because of that. Hopefully, the paint will harden properly.
Today was a play day -- no working on the house -- so I went to the zoo.

The flamingos are so hard to photograph! They tend to be white on their heads, and are in harsh daylight. The pond and vegetation is pretty dark. So the highlights tend to be blown out.
