I keep meaning to buy one of those jars of quince and try it, I still don't know how it tastes.

I don't know if I have ever had it either. Those in the picture are flowering quince -- so they don't make fruit, but I accidentally bought another one that does make fruit. It is still a small plant, but if I get fruit this year, I might just simmer it up with some sugar and see what it tastes like!
