...pleasant, but there was also a bit of family drama afterwards -- but I have come to expect that -- and I expect that is true for most extended families. My sister did a great job of getting the meal together! I took my normal salad and sweet potato pie. We did not get a group photo this time -- people scooted out the door intermittently to other activities, and it was raining, so it would have been difficult to get a shot outside.
One sister did get a picture of me in the background of a great-nephew. Me, on the phone -- I'm completely glad that I now have cell service in a rural area like this. Rural coverage is pretty spotty after you get off the highways, so it was nice to be able to check the phone! If counting in age order, this is the fifth great-nephew (out of total of 6 great nephews/nieces):
