River

I headed down to the river this morning. The air smelled GREAT -- very fresh! I did not realize the river was up -- we haven't had that much rain lately -- but the trail was muddy and covered over in places. So I only got a short walk.


Sadly, I left my long zoom at home because it is heavy, and I didn't think I would need it! This was taken with my "everyday" lens. I heard the pounding, but it took me a bit before I found the woodpecker in the trees.
